Yes, Otakon... It was a lot of fun. I know it was like a week ago but I've just been too lazy to write about it.

The best part of being there was seeing Koko. Bwahaha yes I'm going to rub it in your faces <3 Trust me, she's just as pretty in person as she is in all her pictures. But it's too bad more of you couldn't have come, we could have had like, a massive orgy or something and it would have been cool. But nonetheless.

I got to get Scott McNeil and Richard Cox's autographs... Scott McNeil is such a nice guy. He even said "I feel pretty in pink" in Duo's voice when Koko asked him to. Of course that made me blush a lot but yeah. He gave us all hugs and stuff. Too bad Crispin Freeman wasn't there, he's so hot (by the way, Caitlin, he plays Rei).

But yeah. I was sad that Geoff couldn't come with us. He probably would have spent all his money buying FMA stuff, knowing him (and I'm sure he wouldn't have minded seeing me, Koko, and Brittany strutting around in corsets).

I'm so bad at describing things. XDD

And we got to see the MacHall kids and the Chugworth guys and even Scott from VG Cats. Ian and Matt from MacHall didn't seem all that happy to be there, though. But they autographed the prints we bought anyway. Sorta grudgingly, though. But oh well, they're still cool. And we got a picture with Scott and the guy from Ctrl-Alt-Del, and some really nice French-Canadian guy who worked for Scott. He wasn't really an important guy, but he was so nice that I wanted him in the picture.

I didn't see a lot of people dressed up as Vash there, actually, but I saw a TON of Edwards. We counted at least forty-something. But I did see some Suikoden people! Tir, Riou, Viktor, Flik, and Jowy. They had some of the best costumes I've seen. Too bad there was no Gremio...

That was the most exciting parts. Except well, Baltimore isn't the nicest place in the United States. But it was pretty fun being there.

And now I'm addicted to Black Pepper Jack doritos.

Well. I'm sure by now most have read or heard about Jark being fired. Just yesterday I found his page because I wanted to see who really ran the site, and I immediately liked him. He has a great sense of humor and seems to have a eral connection to the community. Now, finding out from Loish's journal that he was fired was really a shock. Though I wish that he hadn't, it's hard for me to have an opinion about it since I'm not really a huge community person here at devART (I'd rather lurk) and the politics here I'd rather leave untouched. But I can say that this was inappropriate. I don't know the reasons for why it happened, or why anyone wouldn't want him gone, and I probably will never know.

But I'll stay. I don't know if anyone would leave because of what happened, but I'm not going to. Even though deviantART isn't one of the main parts of my life, it's still something I care for. I can't even think about how things would be without it. For one, I probably never would have seen Pechan again. I think that's the biggest reason why I'm so happy that I joined it. But there's even more than that. Even if I'm not very proud of my work (but I'll get there), the people here make me push myself to do better. And even if I don't get a lot of comments, the ones that I do get make me feel great.

Well I just lost my train of thought. But regardless, we need to bring deviantART back to what it was, a community. I'm not posting any art on August 7th. My goal for that day is to comment on fifty random people's pages, and support them and their growth in the way they love to express themselves. And heck, I'll even try to post more than that. It's about time that I contributed back to the community that has helped me grow.

I'm so confused ;--; DevART randomly gave me a subscription. I don't really want it. I'm not much interested in spiffing up my journal or anything...The only thing I wanted was the search thing, but that's not working at all so it doesn't matter.

I've been listening to the new Mars Volta album, Frances the Mute a lot...Ah, it's such a great album. I still like De-loused in the Comatorium better, but man, this album is still great.

And they say mastication. XDD
